Fielding, UT – Clifford Ronald Welling, 81, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Ron was born, February 21, 1930 to Clifford and Millie Marie Adams Welling in Fielding, Utah. He is a veteran of the Korean War. He married his sweetheart, Monette Anderson, March 15, 1957 in the Logan LDS Temple. He and his wife built their home together and took pride in their yard. They enjoyed fishing and ran a mink business. He loved his family and took his girls waterskiing and camping. His passion was mechanics, his skilled hands could fix anything and he was the best!
Ron was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served faithfully as an executive secretary in the Bishopric. The highlight of his life was serving a mission with his eternal companion, Monette, at the Los Angeles Temple Visitor's Center and as a dedicated temple officiator for ten years in the Logan LDS Temple. Surviving is his wife, his children: Metzie Jensen, Jill Kenneth Howard, Paula PW Tucker and Ronna Gordon Tidwell; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren, brother, LaVere Welling and sister, Barbara Gardiner. Preceding him in death are his parents and sister, Adair Brown.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Fielding Stake Center, 4375 West 15600 North, Fielding. A viewing will be held Sunday, November 6 , 2011 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Interment will be at the Fielding Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
