Clarence Courtney Clark, 86, passed away Monday, October 17, 2005 at his daughter?s home in Smithfield. He was born April 10, 1919 in Seattle, Washington to Clarence and Doris Fryer Clark. He attended Franklin High School and after a short military tour, received training in dentistry. He worked as a dental technician in the South Seattle area and retired in the early 1980?s. Of note, he was very good friends with Barney Clark, the first artificial heart transplant recipient. Clarence loved to listen to and play organ music. Earlier in his life, he was an avid enthusiast with electronics. He also loved to travel. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Though inactive most of his life, he loved to listen to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and General Conference. He was devoted to caring for his mother and aunt, while they were alive. He especially loved all his grandchildren and spending time with them was important to him. He is survived by one daughter, Patricia Louise Honeycutt and her husband, Loren, of Smithfield; 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22, at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services.
