Tremonton—Clara Blanche Nielsen Roberts, 100, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2008, at her Tremonton home. She was born June 2, 1908 in Salt Lake City to Peter Joseph and Rose Ann Jones Nielsen. She married Homer Edwin Roberts November 26, 1926 in Los Angeles, CA. She was raised and educated in Salt Lake City and has lived in Los Angeles, Inglewood, and Homeland, California and later in life moved to Tremonton. She loved to read, knit, and sew, but her grandchildren provided her true joy. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served faithfully in the Sunday School and Relief Society organizations and also as a Ward Historian and Stake Missionary with her husband. Blanche is survived by her daughters Patsy A. Gary Bean and Rose A. Wright both of Tremonton; 4 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer; grandson, Dion R. Bean; great grandson Colton M. Bean; brother, William Norton; and sisters, Elda Nielsen Thompson, Pearl Nielsen Matthew, Lela Nielsen Gattung, May D. Nielsen Rogers. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Perris Valley Cemetery in Perris, CA.
