Though not at all his style, Chris Moser, 27, left the party early on August 27, 2008. Chris was born April 14, 1981 to Alan and Susan Moser of Logan and was raised in Cache Valley along with his three brothers, Brian, Jeff, and Tony. As a family, they enjoyed so many things together; fishing trips to the Grays River, camping, skiing, and spending time at "the cabin" in Logan Canyon. Chris attended Adams Elementary, Mt. Logan Middle School and graduated from Logan High in 1999. Through school and beyond Chris made a circle of friends as wide as Cache Valley. People were drawn to Chris. With his electric smile and quick wit, friends just gravitated to him. He was a leader and was always orchestrating some sort of plan for a "good time". He loved concerts, camping, snowboarding and hanging out with friends. Chris played hard but he worked harder. Starting work at a young age, he helped out with parties and receptions at the family owned business, Aspen Grove Reception Center. He began cooking at Angie's while still in high school, serving the locals and many of Logan City's finest! Chris had an incredible work ethic and as time went on, he found his calling as an electrician, a fitting trade to go with that electric smile of his. He went to work for Aspen Technologies in SLC, got his apprentice electrician's license and planned to go to school. In his travels, through his wide circle of friends, he met his life partner, Katie. They were so in love and settled together on the Avenues in SLC in April of 2004. Less than two months after starting their young lives together, Chris was diagnosed with colon cancer, shocking news for someone so young and full of life. But Chris did not let cancer get him down. He went through treatment and during remission he returned to work and he and Katie bought a home in Bountiful. During this time they took full advantage of the concerts and nightlife of the "Big City" a welcome change after growing up in "Lil' Ol Cache Valley". They had wanted children so they adopted an orphan boxer from the local animal shelter. When cancer returned, Homer was Chris' constant companion and their special "Woo Hoo" playtime brought laughter on the long days of chemo. In July of 2007 Chris and his family went to Mexico to enjoy the sunshine together hoping to store as much as possible for the darker days to come. Despite his prognosis, Chris continued to live, laugh and love and encouraged everyone around him to do the same. He fought the good fight and will be deeply missed by so many who loved him so dearly. Chris is survived by the love of his life, Katie Hardman and his dogson Homer; his loving parents, Alan and Susan Moser of Logan; brother: Brian Moser Sheryl, nieces and nephews: Alex, Mariah, Carter, Chloe, and Ava of Perry; brothers: Jeff Moser, Logan; and Tony Moser, Logan; grandparents: Lois Moser and Ron and Theresa Engle of Logan; Katie's family: John and Teresa Hardman of Mendon; Terri Hardman Brandon and Tracey Hardman Anthony of Logan. Chris is also survived by an enormous group of friends and co-workers who cared deeply for him. Chris was preceded in death by his grandfather Wilford Bud Moser and his good friend Cody Stewart. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends and family may call Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at

. Throughout his illness Chris' thoughts were not of himself, but for his dear Katie. A benevolent account has been set up at Washington Mutual to help Katie with expenses during this most difficult time.
