Christopher Lee Dorius

November 13, 1988 — October 21, 2006

Christopher Lee Dorius, 17, respected and loved son, brother, grandson and friend, passed away unexpectedly with life long friend, Taylor Wick, on Saturday, October 21, 2006 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Chris was born November 13, 1988 in Logan, Utah to David Karl Olsen Dorius and Sherri Ann Oliverson Dorius. He was raised on a small family farm in Lewiston, attending the local schools and has always been a bright, intelligent student. While in 7th grade, Chris was appointed by his teacher to be in the Broadcast/Yearbook class. As a sophomore, Chris was recognized with the National Science Merit Award. He was currently an honor student attending Sky View High School for his senior year. Chris was a very dedicated student preparing to attend Utah State University, as he had already completed various college and AP classes. Chris had a love and passion for arts of any kind. He was a self-taught musician, playing an amazing range of notes on his electric guitar. He combined his skills with long time friend, Taylor Wick, and formed a band. Chris also had an unforgettable talent with computers, participating in a Multimedia Design/Production class and also graphic art. He had designed the graphics for the back cover of the 2006 Sky View High School graduation program. He also enjoyed paintballing with his friends in the heavily wooded mountain tops and river bottoms. Another very special hobby he enjoyed was spending quality time with his dad, as they were restoring a 1971 Camaro. Chris was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was currently a Priest in the Cornish Ward and recently completed his Eagle Scout. People were naturally drawn to Chris because of his quick wit and winning personality. He is loved by family and friends and will truly be missed by all those who knew him. It was Chris?s wish to be an organ donor. That wish was honored. In lieu of flowers, donations can be mailed to Intermountain Donor Services, 230 South 500 East, Suite 290, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84102, 1800-833-6667. He is survived by his parents, David and Sherri Dorius of Lewiston: two brothers, Jason and Brett Dorius of Lewiston: one sister, Melissa Troy Anderson of Burley, Idaho: grandmothers, Laura Dorius of Lewiston and Venna Oliverson of Logan: and special friend of the family Kristin Forbush of Providence.
