Tremonton: L. Aldrid Christensen, 95, of Tremonton, died February 26, 2003 at his residence in Tremonton. He was born on November 14, 1907 in Elwood, Utah, the son of Hyrum Christen and Eva Louisa Hunsaker Christensen. He married Gudrun Magdalene Jensen on November 11, 1931 in the Logan LDS Temple. She died on March 22, 1980. He married Mary Maughan Petersen in the Logan LDS Temple on June 11, 1982. Aldrid was also known for his infectious smile and outgoing personality. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all his life. He served two full-time missions to Denmark as well as a Stake Mission. He has also been a teacher and a home teacher during his lifetime. He is survived by his wife Mary of Tremonton; his children ? Lt. Col. Ret. A. Marius Hanne Christensen, of Tremonton, Dalene Bruce Thornley, of Phoenix, AZ, Grethe Alton Veibell of Beaver Dam, UT, Gail Darwin John of Washington D.C., Alvin Caroline Christensen of Tremonton, Lt. Col. Ret. David Elaine Christensen of Lake Havasu, AZ; Mary?s Children ? Dr. M. Larrry Carol H. Petersen of Logan, Farrel Dean Carol Dee L. Petersen of Hyrum, Mary Gloria Thomas F. Anderson of Hyrum; one sister Rhoda Wimmer Oyler of Ogden; 28 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Gudrun, parents, 9 brothers and sisters, one grandson, and two great grandsons. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at the Tremonton LDS Stake Center, 1150 South Tremont Street. Friends may call on Monday, March 3, from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 ?10:30 a.m. At Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East. Interment will be in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family suggests donation be made to the LDS General Missionary Fund.
