Cheryl Arleen Bischoff-Newell passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones Saturday evening, December 20, 2003. She is survived by her husband Neil and her children Jarom, Paden, Anson, and Madison, as well as her parents, David Hudson and Gwen St James and siblings Ben, Brad, and Shawna. She joins in heaven her former husband Newell Bischoff and sister Brenda. She was born in Seattle, Wa December 26, 1960. She graduated from Fred C. Beyer High School in Modesto, Ca, where she excelled in gymnastics. She attended Brigham Young University and earned an Education degree with honors from St. Martin?s college in Lacey, Wa. Cheryl has always been very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She recently served in Young Women?s, activities committee, Relief Society, Primary and other various callings. She absolutely loved working with and spending time with all of the young women. Cheryl was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, friend and teacher. She had a zest for life that was unmatched and everything that she set her mind to she put her whole heart into. Her smile could light up a room. She loved to have fun and make others laugh. On behalf of Cheryl, Neil and their children would like to thank the Hudson family, Bischoff family, Newell family, Linda, Sandra, all her many friends, Smithfield 18th Ward, IHC Home Health Care and IHC Hospice for their continuous care and support during her illness. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2003 at the Smithfield 18th Ward Chapel, 625 East 600 South. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield and Monday morning at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.
