Charles Francis Sawyer passed away at age 89, Friday September 14th, 2012 due to natural causes while sleeping. He was born April 11th, 1923 in Fort Worth, TX to his parents James and Elsie Koch Sawyer. Charles married the love of his life Lois White, they spent 65 wonderful years together. He was a very active member of the LDS church. He enjoyed singing in the church choir and going to the temple with his wife. He was a loving and caring father, grandfather, and husband. He had values all men could look up to.
He served in the navy during World War II. He had so many amazing stories to share with us. He was a master carpenter, and spent many years working for Logan parks and recreation. He could create all sorts of neat things out of wood. Charles had a love for his family, telling stories, gardening, cooking could make any kind of pancake, painting, music played church hymns on the harmonica.
He is survived by his wife Lois White Sawyer. Children: Kenneth & Robbie Sawyer, Kathy Hall, Sharon & Michael Jarrett, Patricia Page, Robert & Bliss Sawyer; 24 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Charles is a very special man and will be missed dearly. He will forever remain in our memories and our hearts. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 22, 2012 in Smithfield, UT @ the LDS Stake Center located on 155 W. 400 N. The viewing will take place 9:30-10:40am, the funeral will begin at 11:00am, burial to follow at Smithfield cemetery. Special request: Due to allergies of those attending please do not wear cologne or perfume.
