Richmond - Charles Leland Craw, 79, passed away February 6, 2009 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born April 19, 1929 in Minersville, Utah to Charles Nelson Craw and Lydia Fern Talbot. He attended the local schools and graduated from Milford High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. Upon returning, he married Dorothy Lee Acklin June 1, 1955. The marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He attended school at the Southern University of Utah in Cedar City and Utah State University. Charlie worked at the Space Dynamics Laboratory at USU for twenty-five years. He loved to fish, hunt and travel. He especially loved going to the sand dunes with his family. He was an active member of the LDS church and had a great faith and love of the gospel. He was a wonderful example to his family and will be dearly missed. Charlie is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. Craw; children: Jeff Pam Craw, Richmond, UT; Gaye Stacey Higley; Gilbert, AZ; Tami Blake Seamons, Smithfield, UT; Kim Wade Lister, Minersville, UT; Heather Darren Peacock, Taylorsville, UT; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and counting. He is also survived by a brother Jim Eileen Craw, Minersville, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2009 at the Richmond 1st Ward Chapel, 135 West Main. Friends and family may call at the church Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Richmond City Cemetery.
