Charlee Louise Gomez

September 7, 2014 — November 15, 2014

Charlee L. Gomez
Charlee Louise Gomez was born on Sept. 7, 2014 at 9:24 PM. She came into this world weighing an even 5 lbs. Little as can be yet she still had wide open eyes filled with a wisdom that gave me peace, as well as comforted me.
Some people become wise over the years, becoming legends, inspirations, philosophers, and others, like Charlee, are wise before their time. She brought my family together in just a very short 3 months. She brought me courage, determination, confidence and laid the stone for my family's foundation.
Charlee was always hand in hand with her twin, she was sitting up, rolling over, responding to her name being called, she always had her eyes opened so intensely, as if trying to project the knowledge she had to the world around her.
Saturday, November 15th we had to send her back to Heaven, it wasn't a hard decision, we knew she had done what she came here to do, so we held her tight till she peacefully left us.
In two months she brought families together, reuniting siblings, repairing bonds. In just a little over 60 days she had given so many people hope, excitement, and rekindled faith that was weakened by trials.
She loved her Daddy, always wrapping her tiny hands in his hair the moment he had picked her up, as if telling him "you won't be able to put me down without a fight."
I have never witnessed so many people who had grown distant over the years, come together with love and acceptance so quickly as our families had come together at the discovery of my pregnancy with twins.
She was beautiful, loved and literally a Godsend.
The tragedy of this is her twin sister, Stevee Jane, who always searched for her hand to hold in the crib, always smiled when they were laid back down together. She has been noticeably distraught since Charlee's departure.
Along with her twin, she is missed by Lilly Cael sister Mary & Jordan parents Laurie & James grandparents Marty & Debra grandparents Cheryl her aunt who moved 2000 miles from home, with her 3 kids, to be here for them Morgan & Tony godparents & aunt/uncle Joey, Noah, Kassie, Jeff, Violeta, & Kelsey aunts/uncles Janiece & Mike grandparents and there are many others, over 60 people that have sent sincerest of condolences, donated and even traveled from out of state and country to come and celebrate Charlee's short life.
We should always try and remember the pure spirits that come here as a gift, just to help us get to where we need to be, to open our eyes and see the beauty around us, to make us realize how fortunate we are to be here, but how needed we are to help make this world a better place.
Some people it takes decades to make a difference, Charlee became a legend in just a few short moments.
We will miss you Charlee Louise!
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, 162 East 400 North where there will be a viewing one hour prior to services.
