Cecilia Nielson Olson

It is with great heartache we announce the unexpected passing of Cecilia “Cece” Nielson Olson, 60, of Logan, Utah, on March 10th 2023. She is now with her Heavenly Father. Cece was born on February 17, 1963 to Doyle and Josephine Olson in Logan, UT.
Cece graduated from Logan High school in 1981. Shortly after, Cece met her eternal soulmate Dave Nielson, and they were married June 24th, 1983, in Logan, Utah. Dave was the love of her life. Sadly, their time together on this earth was cut short by the passing of Dave in 1985. The impact this had on Cece was one she carried every day.
Cece was blessed with 4 beautiful children, Chelsea Smith, Brooke James, Brittani Smith and Taylor Smith. Cece went on to have a successful career of 18 years with Schreiber Foods. During her years, Brooke and Brittani blessed her with her grandchildren that quickly became her world. She became what she always meant to be. Grandma Cece.
She later retired in 2014 and spent her minutes, hours and days loving on her grandbabies and furbabies. Heylie (12), Chance (11), Hayden (14), Madison (2), and Ashlynn (10). Cece loved to stay busy but also mastered the art of relaxing. She loved going to USU hockey games, baking, making home cooked meals, crafting and spending time with family and friends. If you know Cece you know candy and cookies were always nearby & she loved Christmas more than anyone, ever. Cece was the most giving person. She always supported everyone in everything they did. She loved and accepted everyone, unconditionally. She had an open door policy in her home. All were welcome & Cece was a very proud second Momma to most.
Cece was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine (Bronson) Olson, Her baby brother, Jody Olson, Her big brother Michael Bronson and Sister in Law Rhonda Olson. Cece is survived by her Children; Chelsea Smith, Brooke James, Brittani Smith, Taylor Smith & their families. Grandchildren; Heylie Ferlin, Chance James, Hayden Sargent, Madison Stuart & Ashlynn Stuart. Her Father Doyle Olson & Stepmother Debbie Olson. Her siblings; Doug & Tona Bronson, Lynda & Barry Labrum, Sheldon Olson, Rolan Olson (Mandee), Courtney Olson (Kari), Ryan (Kelli) Olson & each of their families. And so many friends who she loved like family.
Please Join us in a celebration of life for Cecilia “Cece” Nielson Olson. At the LDS Church on 125 W 600 N Logan, UT 84321 on Thursday, March 16th, 2023 at 12:00pm. A viewing will be held at Nelson Funeral Home on Wednesday March 15th, 2023 from 6pm-8pm (162 East 400 North Logan, UT 84321), all are welcome. There will be a short viewing reserved for family on Thursday 10:30am-11:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial contributions be made to Chelsea Smith.
