Cassie Treesa Federico

Smithfield ? Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Treesa Federico passed peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 24, 2002. She was born March 16, 1922 to Albert Matthew and Katie Cassie Atkinson Godfrey in Clarkston, Utah. When Treesa was eleven days old, her mother died and her maternal grandparents, Alfred and Catherine Atkinson, raised her. She married Joe Federico on October 7, 1938 in Logan. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. Treesa was employed many years, first by American Food Stores, then Jack?s Market and Lee?s Market. She worked for Cache County Schools as a teacher?s aide at Sky View and Summit School. Her greatest joys were her family, good friends and caring neighbors. She enjoyed working in her yard and knitting and crocheting. She is survived by her two sons and spouses: Larry and Rose Federico, Palm Desert, California; Tony and Sharon Federico, Centerville, Utah; seven grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren the ninth was born the day before she passed away; a brother, Wayne Albert Godfrey, Arizona. Her parents, husband and a brother, Rex Van Godfrey, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at the Smithfield 2nd Ward Chapel, 175 South 100 West, with Bishop Kim Dodge conducting. Friends and family may call Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 11:40 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery.
