Carmen Halverson Waldron

Carmen Halverson Waldron died on June 6, 2003, from causes incident to age. She was born July 8, 1912, to Lillie Mae Robbins and James E. Halverson in Ogden, Utah. She grew up in Brigham City, Utah where she graduated from Box Elder High School. She attended Utah State University where she met her husband, David R. ?Bill? Waldron. They were married on December 17, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Utah and later solemnized their union in the Ogden Temple. Carmen and Bill spent their married life in Tremonton, Utah and were together for 67 years. They were the parents of three children: James Halverson Cheryl, Cincinnati, Ohio; Susan Sweet, Ogden, Utah; Nancy Ennenga Peter, Sandy, Utah. Carmen was a member of the Tremonton Second Ward at the time of her death and, throughout her life, served in various positions of leadership and teaching. She was a gifted writer and speaker and , over the years, was often called upon to produce road shows and other community productions and to write and present toasts, tributes and poetry for many special occasions. She also had a natural talent to play the piano and always enjoyed entertaining and accompanying family and friends. She was an avid reader and bridge player, and loved to travel. She was a charter member of the Tremonton Civic League and spent many years as the Chairman of the Red Cross in Box Elder County. Her family remembers the many people she brought into her own home to help in times of need. Her happiest summers were spent with family and friends at her cabin in Bear Lake. She was an excellent cook and will be remembered for the many large gatherings she hosted at the Lake during those years. Carmen is survived by her children and eight grandchildren: Deborah Waldron, David Waldron, Michael Sweet, Nancy Dickson, Susie Godfrey, David Ennenga, Kimberly Ennenga and Katie Ennenga. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her grandson, Peter Mark Ennenga II; three sisters: Mamie Johnson, Lillian Peterson, and Grace Hansen, and two brothers: James and Raymond Halverson. We will remember our Mom and Grandma for her out going personality and her ability to befriend everyone she met. Family was precious to her and we will always treasure the memories and traditions she created through so many special family times together. She will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday June 11, 2003, 12:00 noon at the Tremonton 2nd Ward Chapel, 300 South Tremont Street, Tremonton, Utah. There will be a viewing Tuesday, June 10, from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. at the Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, and prior to service on Wednesday from 10:00 ? 11:30 a.m. at the Church. Internment will be in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
