Byrnece Hale Chapman Stenquist, 93, passed away December 23, 2005 at Sunshine Terrace. Byrnece was born April 20, 1912 in Logan, Utah to Arthur Willard Hale and Alice Evangeline Jacobson. She married Dick C. Chapman in 1936. He passed away in 1961. In 1973 she married Edwin O. Stenquist. This marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Her second husband died in 1980. For 12 years Byrnece worked at Utah State University in Admissions and Records and assisting Veterans. Following this, she worked for 10 years in the Logan Temple office. She was active in the LDS church; callings included counselor in the Relief Society, secretary, teacher and home making leader. She served in the MIA for 25 years ? 17 of them on the Stake board. As a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, she enjoyed many good friendships. Byrnece had a great love for animals, the beauties of nature, music and poetry, and she adored her family. She expressed a deep sense of gratitude for the loving care received from family, friends, neighbors and the nurses at Sunshine Terrace. Byrnece?s survivors include a daughter; C. Suzanne Clair Nelson; granddaughter, Kathryn Ann Jeffrey Salter; Three great grandchildren and one sister Virginia Twelves. From her second marriage survivors include a son; Wayne Lavon Stenquist; three daughters; Darlene Grubbs, Marilyn Kitchen, Ileen Leland Turner; daughter-in-law, Marjorie Stenquist; 13 grandchildren, 45 great grand children and 26 great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends and family may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Burial will be at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at
