Brent Jacobsen Rasmuson, 64, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep December 26, 2014. He was born in Logan, Utah, November 28, 1950 to Eleroy West and Fae Jacobsen Rasmuson. He was a lifelong resident of Cache Valley and attended schools at Logan High and USU. He married Mary Jane Jorgenson. They had a son, John. They later divorced. He married Tess Bullen in the Logan Temple on September 30, 1981. They had a son and daughter, Mark and Lisa.
Dad worked at Herald Printing Company with his brothers and father for many years. As a young man, he enhanced, repaired, and raced cars; he also loved to play the drums. Later, he developed an eye and mind for photography. He is best known for his photos of LDS temples.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he obtained and cultivated a testimony of Jesus Christ and the Restoration through Joseph Smith. He shared his testimony through his photography and expressed his desire to do so until the very end of his life. The desire of his heart was to serve and bless others.
Brent is survived by his four siblings, Richard (Marilyn), Joan Anderson (Craig), Craig, David (Becky); and his three children, John (Elizabeth); Mark; Lisa Rigby (Clinton). He adored his six grandchildren and often spoke fondly of his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, January 2, 2015, at 11:00 am, in the Logan 1st Ward Chapel, 89 South 200 West, Logan, Utah with a viewing from 9:30-10:30; burial at Logan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "Funeral Fund for Brent J. Rasmuson" at Lewiston State Bank. His family expresses appreciation for all love and support given during this difficult time.
