Garland, UT ? Bonnie Rae Johnson Harris, 68, passed away at her home, Sunday, March 18, 2007. She was born October 17, 1938 in Grace, ID to Lucian R. and Rita Kirby Johnson. She graduated from Grace High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Norman Vernon Harris November 22, 1957 in the Logan LDS Temple.
Bonnie was a Bear River Valley Hospital Volunteer Pink Lady for 30 years, serving as president for six years. She was a PTA President. She also was a member and past president of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She spent many years in the scouting program. She loved to bowl and was a doll collector. Mom loved to read and she loved her children and grandchildren very much. Mom loved spending time with all of them.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in Relief Society and Primary Presidencies, in the Young Women?s Program, Relief Society Chorister and a faithful visiting teacher.
She is survived by her husband; children: Tammy Taylor, Ogden, UT, Bruce Norman Harris, Tremonton, UT, Brenda Brian H. Davis, Murrieta, CA, Peggy David H. Adams, North Ogden, UT and Heather H. Tucker, Brigham City; 11 grandchildren two of which are serving missions: Brendan R. Davis in Harrisburg Pennsylvania Mission and Melissa Davis in Hartford Connecticut Mission and one brother, Kay Johnson, Renton, WA.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Kurt Vernon Harris; brother, Vernon Johnson and sisters, Myrna Cook and Norene Bryant.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Garland LDS Tabernacle, 140 West Factory St, Garland with Bishop Dennis Rhodes officiating. Family and friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2007 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Saturday from 9:30?10:40 a.m. at the church. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. in the Grace, ID Cemetery.
