Bonnie L. Garn

March 20, 1932 — April 18, 2003

Fielding ? Bonnie L. Garn, 71, of Fielding, died at home after a valiant fight with cancer, on Friday, April 18, 2003 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 20, 1932 in Collinston, Utah the daughter of Ezra Elijiah Lefler and Lenore Marie Bigler. Bonnie was born and raised in Collinston and later moved to Beaver Dam. She graduated from Bear River High School in 1950. She married Darvel N. Garn on June 9, 1950 in the Logan LDS Temple, spending 53 wonderful years together. They made their home in Fielding, where they raised four wonderful children and operated the family farm and ranch. Later in life she enjoyed spending her winters at their home in St. George. Bonnie loved traveling, handiwork, quilting, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved music and learned to play the piano later in life. Bonnie served in various church callings including: the MIA, Stake Relief Society President, Ward Chorister, an officiator in the Logan LDS Temple, and recently, an 18 month mission to the St. George Temple Visitor Center, which she dearly loved. She is survived by her husband, Darvel of Fielding; one daughter ? Vickie Randy Archibald of Nibley; three sons ? Lynn D. Marilyn Garn of Tremonton, Michael Cynthia Garn, and Kevin Jeri Garn all of Fielding; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Evelyn Jensen. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Keyser, Dr. Michael Stones, Dr. Richard Wheeler, and Dr. Leslye Ingersoll for their compassion, and loving care of Bonnie. Funeral Services will be held at noon on Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at the Fielding LDS Stake Center, 4375 West 15600 North. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, and Wednesday from 10:30- 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Fielding Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, family suggest donations be made to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
