Blanche Cottam Thompson

January 19, 1916 — January 20, 2004

Tremonton-Blanche Cottam Thompson, 88, passed away at the McKay-Dee Medical Center in Ogden, Utah on January 20, 2004. She was born January 19, 1916 to Leo and Ila Rae Cottam in Snowville, Utah. She married Erland Thompson on December 7, 1935. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple on May 7, 1954. Erland passed away on August 20, 1996.
She grew up in Snowville and Brigham City, Utah and graduated from Box Elder High School. She was very active in the LDS church. She was co-owner of the Classic Shop for many years. She was gifted in crocheting and knitting and very giving and loving to others. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she loved her family very much.
Surviving are one son and one daughter and their spouses, Gerald Ann Thompson, Hanford, CA, Janet Rodney Larsen, St. George, Utah. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two sisters, Doris Frost, Donna Sederholm both of Brigham City and two sisters-in-law, Wanda Cottam, Brigham City and Janice Cottam Hyde, Ogden.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, DeVon Cottam and Lyle Cottam, two sisters Arlene Rasmussen and Muriel Anderson and one grandchild, David Christian Larsen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 24, 2004 at the Tremonton 1st Ward Chapel located at 166 North Tremont St. Family and friends may call on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North and 100 East, Tremonton and Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the funeral.
