Blaine Nolden Anderson

July 16, 1923 — April 9, 2008

Bear River City, Utah – Blaine Nolden Anderson, 84, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at his home. He was born July 16, 1923 in Bear River City to Clarence LeRoy and Martha Jorgensen Anderson. He married Thora Mae Bowman June 25, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was stationed as a mechanic on Tinnian Island during World Ward II serving in the Air Force.
Blaine was a life-long resident of Bear River First Ward serving in the Sunday School and Elders Quorum Presidencies. Blaine enjoyed a life-long career in farming with his brother, Dwight and their sons. He was a director of the UT/ID Sugar Beet Growers Association and a Bear River Canal Co. Board Member. He enjoyed traveling and weekly card games with his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years; children: Linda Newell Norman, Corinne, Brian B. Cona Anderson, Elwood and Scott Blaine Nikki Anderson, Bear River City; 18 grandchildren,; 37 great-grandchildren; brother, Dwight Anderson and sister, Ilah Anderson.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: LaVere Anderson, Elva Jackley, Merlin Irish Anderson, Darwin Anderson, Arlow Anderson, Almeda Anderson, Mont Anderson and Dale Anderson.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Bear River City LDS Chapel, 5870 North 4700 West, Bear River City. Family and friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2008 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 at the church. Interment will be at the Bear River City Cemetery.
