Bevan L. Nazer, age 82, passed away peacefully at his home due to causes incident to age on March 20, 2010. "Bev" was born May 26, 1927 in Cedar City, Utah to LeRoy H. and Della Pendelton Nazer. At eight years old, he moved with his family to St. George, Utah. There, Bev was active in basketball and track at Woodward High and played trumpet in the high school band. After high school, he went to work on the construction of an airport at the Indian Springs Test Site in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bev married Rolaine Prince on September 1, 1945 in St. George, where they resided until moving to Las Vegas in February 1953. Bev was an excellent auto mechanic, which led him to own and operate a service center and U-Haul dealership for many years. In February 1965, he and his family moved to Logan where he worked for Firestone and then Sears Service Center until they closed in 1982. He then went to work for Industrial Tool Supply where he remained until he retired.
Bev loved visiting with family and friends and had a wonderful sense of humor. Bev also enjoyed hunting and fishing and took great satisfaction in his home and yard. He knew the value of hard work and was a man of great integrity. Bev was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He is survived by his wife, Rolaine, one son, Courtney Dorothy of Logan, and a daughter, Debbie Dennis Roper of Brigham City. He is also survived by a sister, Mary Lester Gubler of St. George, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, with one more to be born in May. He was preceded in death by his parents and one great grandson.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 12:00 noon in the Logan City Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and also prior to services from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Condolences may be extended to the family online at
