Beth Theurer

Providence - Our beloved sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Beth Theurer, 88, passed away September 27, 2002, in Logan, Utah. She was born January 21, 1914 in Logan, Utah, to Elizabeth Low and Henry A. Theurer. She attended and graduated from local schools. Upon graduation from Utah State USAC in elementary education, she taught at Richmond Elementary for several years. With the dearth of manpower during WWII, she was asked to return to Providence to manage the family mercantile business. Post-war she continued as manager and owner of Theurer?s Store. Beth was active in Logan Women?s Business organizations and clubs. She was honored as a recipient of the People Helping People award given by the Providence Lions Club. She was also an active Gray Lady during WWII. The family appreciated Beth?s loving and devoted care given to our parents in their declining years. Beth will be remembered for her kindness, grace, industry, sense-of-humor and devotion to her church and community. She is survived by her sister Beryl Mills; brother Henry A. Ruth Theurer, Jr.; sister-in-law Faye Theurer and brother-in-law Hal S. Christensen and several dearly loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Reed F. MargaretTheurer, Mark L. Theurer; sister, Julia Christensen and brother-in-law Robert J. Mills. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to services.
