BENSON - Beth Hill Munk, 82, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2004 at the McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. She was born May 22, 1922 in Wellsville, Utah, the third of six children born to Alexander Ray Poppleton and Elizabeth Murray Hill. Beth attended schools in Wellsville and Hyrum, graduating from South Cache High. Beth graduated from Logan Beauty College and worked in Preston, Logan and Benson, doing hair and having association with her ?ladies?. She married Wendell Johnson Munk on November 2, 1944 and they bought part of the family farm in Benson, where they raised 3 daughters and one son: Beverly Brad Bateson, Logan; Geraldine Hirst; LuAnn John Hansen, Smithfield; and Craig Susan Munk, Benson. She has 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, with 3 more on the way. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and served in many different callings. She is survived by her husband and four children, two sisters: June Fred Bowen, LuDean Bill Campbell; one brother: Jay Deloris Hill; four sister?s-in-law: Helen Munk, Bonnie Woolf, Clodene Riches and Melba Hansen. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, one brother, Ray Hill; one sister, Elda Christiansen and one grandson, Trever Munk. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed being with people. She will be missed by all those who knew her. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 15, at 11:00 a.m. at the Benson Ward chapel, 3432 North 3000 West. A viewing will be held at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield on Wednesday evening, July 14, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday morning at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.
