Bessie Winn Brough passed away Monday, November 26, 2007 at the Logan Regional Hospital. She was born May 27, 1915 to Adelbert Winn and Sarah Louisa Hill. Bessie was raised in Trenton and attended North Cache High School. She married Thomas William Brough December 2, 1931 in Logan. The marriage was later solemnized July 31, 1951 in the Logan LDS Temple. In 1974 she and her husband sold their farm in Trenton and moved to Smithfield. She worked for Amalgamated Sugar Company for 5 years and for Gossner Foods for 32 years, retiring at the age of 74. She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Martin Veibell and a son, Richard Glade Laura Brough; a brother, Kenneth Winn of American Fork and a sister, Connie Cliff Jensen of Preston. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Sharon Apgood, Diane Zito, LaDawn Weeks, Kelly Veibell, Tina West, Meghan Downs and Tiffany Wood; 11 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Ronald, 3 sisters: Carmen Gate, Belva Neves and Merle Winn; three brothers: Max, Don, and Ray Winn; and a granddaughter, Carol Lynn Veibell. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2007 at the Smithfield 21st Ward Chapel, 345 East 300 South, Smithfield. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main, Smithfield and Friday morning at the church from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com .
