Becky Lynn Smith Glista

Becky Lynn Glista returned to her heavenly father while in her home on October 19, 2013 in Lewiston UT. Becky was the second of four children; she was born in 1958 to Paul and Betty Smith of Layton UT. Becky Married Steven Gathercoal who was originally stationed at Hill Air Force Base. With her husband being in the military, she had the opportunity to live many locations across the world. Becky and Steven had three sons during their marriage of 14 years. Becky remarried to Todd Glista who together shared a daughter during their 13 year marriage.
Becky was referred to by many as the "strongest person" they know. Becky endured and over came many trials in her life including multiple chronic health problems. Becky always put others first before herself, and would often say "well, I know, but they needed my help". A true giver would be the best word to describe her. Becky's heart was so big for those that needed extra love, that she was a foster parent for many young ladies over the years. This was such an important part of her life that she even adopted one of the girls as her own.
Becky's hobbies included: working outside in her flower and vegetable gardens, Pintrest, crafts, scrapbooking, and always enjoyed the days her grand children were able to come over and play on her backyard playground that she built for them. Becky is survived by her parents Paul and Betty Smith. Her sisters and brother: Pauline, Stefanie, and Bryan. Her three sons, and two daughters: Scott Rebecca Gathercoal, Brad Jasuan Gathercoal, Matt Gathercoal, Lisa Glista, and Emily Glista. Her 10 grand children: Brinley, Madalyn, Kelsey, Kaybree, Kowen, Ricardo, Emily, Marshall, Mace, and Adrianna. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Lewiston 1st Ward Chapel, 10 South 1600 West. Friends may meet the family at the church on Saturday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Interment will be at a later date in the Lewiston Cemetery.
