On Friday April 7th, Barbara was called home by her Heavenly Father. Born October 4, 1928 youngest child of David and Vera Roskelley, she lived her childhood in a one bedroom home in Smithfield, Utah with her two brothers, Myron and Jay Roskelley , and 2 sisters Roberta (Bert) Morgan and Beth Ripplinger.
On April 18, 1947 Barbara married Ronald Searle in The Logan Temple and they spent 70 loving years together and had 3 daughters. Barbara was a faithful follower of our Heavenly Father and has held many positions in the LDS Church.
Barbara loved to sew, crochet and various crafts. She was a wonderful cook and baker. Her Christmas goodie plates and banana bread were legendary. Everyone was always welcome in the Searle home to share a meal.
Barbara is survived by her husband Ronald J Searle, two daughters Deann (Curt) Echavarren and Ronda (Eric) Anderson, 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter Barbara Jean (Steve) Ahlstrom.
Services will be held Saturday April 15, 2017 at 11:00 am at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, Utah with viewing one hour prior. Interment in the Smithfield City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com .
