Barbara Payne Milner Southwick

Barbara Payne Milner Southwick Tremonton ? Barbara Payne Milner Southwick, 78, passed away February 24, 2002, at the Bear River Valley Care Center in Tremonton. She was born November 7, 1923, in Virden, New Mexico, the daughter of Ezra Curtis and Emily Lucinda Mortensen Payne. She married Leon Ross Milner on June 1, 1942. He died April 8, 1945. She married Don Broadbent Southwick. They later divorced. She lived in Virden, Lehi and Tremonton. She received her bachelor?s degree in Elementary Education and her master?s degree in School Psychology from Utah State University. She taught in several of the Elementary Schools in the Tremonton area. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in the Stake Relief Society Presidency and choir director of Stake Ladies Chorus. She is survived by her sons, Robert Linda Milner, South Weber, UT; Phillip Renate Southwick, Tremonton; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Adelma Webb, Lora Johnson and Lila Kendall. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Leon; her son Stanley and nine brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1, 2002, 2:00 p.m at the Tremonton South Stake Center, 1150 South Tremont. Friends may call Thursday, February 28th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, March 1st from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral, 111 North 100 East.
