Barbara Hickman Daley was born to Warren Earl and Alta Pack Hickman on December 29, 1920 in Stone, Idaho. She passed away in Bountiful, Utah on February 6, 2004 due to age related conditions.
Barbara was the middle child. Her older brother, Blaine, now lives in Ogden, Utah. Her younger sister, Veda, lived in Hermiston, Oregon. They grew up on a ranch in Stone, Idaho. She attended school there and later Bear River High School in Tremonton. She loved the ranch and the horses. She learned early to ride and was her dad's right hand girl. She later attended Cerritos Junior College in California.
She married Lot Smith in 1937. They had three children. Vella Ann, Philip, and Barbara Nadene. They divorced in 1944. October 16, 1945 Barbara married her eternal sweetheart, Elden LeRoy Daley. Barbara and Elden lived eleven years in Hurricane, Utah as the caretakers of Berry Springs Ranch. They returned to Snowville to live out their lives near their friends and relatives Three years ago she became ill and had to move to assisted living. We appreciate the skilled care that was given to her during that time.
