Garland - A great lady has completed her mortal sojourn and returned Home.
Balinda McCardle Schofield, wonderful wife and mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend traveled on ahead to prepare the place for her family on Tuesday, February 2, 2005. She has been cradled by the love of her family and friends for many months.
She was welcomed back by her brother, John Richard McCardle and her grandparents, Earl E. and Audren Andersen. Temporarily left behind are her husband, Randy and their children, Corinne Kyle Mattinson, Colt, Holly and Jamie Schofield, her parents C. Richard and Mareen Andersen McCardle from Tremonton. Her brothers and sisters are Tamara Kent Brown of Syracuse, UT, Calvin Don Cindy McCardle of Clearfield, UT, Yvonne Leavitt of Washington Terrace, UT and Tad Alan McCardle of Franklin, ID.
Balinda grew up in Layton and graduated from Layton High School. She married Randy Schofield in 1979 in Elko, Nevada. They have been blessed with four tremendous children and a grandchild on the way and are quite proud of their children's character and accomplishments. She home-schooled her children to give them the greatest advantages possible. She has always loved being outdoors; horseback riding with her Dad, camping with her family, working around the yard and tending her flowers. She worked for La-Z-Boy and Zundel Dairy without complaint to support her family and make their home more comfortable and welcoming.
She often shared her warm and caring personality through many small acts of service, kindness and friendship. She is a lady of great faith, compassion and gratitude. She and her family extend their thanks for all that has been done for them by loving friends who have been more than generous with their time and tender ministrations. She hopes the bonds forged in these trials will continue to be strengthened in the future. Her life has been a testament to the faith she holds dear and has anchored herself as well as her family.
The family wishes to thank the care given to Balinda by Alpine Hospice during her illness.
