Tremonton, UT - Audrey Fackrell Bair, 78, a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away August 10, 2007 due to complications following a stroke. Audrey was born May 31, 1929, in Preston, Idaho, to Forrest Alford and Wealthy Ann Sutton Fackrell, the eighth of nine children. She was raised in Preston, attended Central Elementary, Jefferson Junior High, and graduated as an honor student from Preston High School in 1947. Following graduation, she worked in the Franklin County Courthouse as Senior Deputy Clerk, Auditor and Recorder. Audrey married Gerald Lloyd Bair from Richmond, UT, on November 20, 1950 in the Logan LDS Temple. The sealing was performed by President ElRay L. Christiansen. Their first home was in Preston, Idaho. In 1957 they moved to Tremonton, Utah where they have resided and raised their three sons, Michael, Kevin and David. Audrey was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as Stake and ward Relief Society President, Stake Relief Society Counselor, Stake and Ward Primary Counselor, and as a Counselor in the Ward Mutual. She was Historian for the Ward Relief Society, the Bulletin Board Specialist and made 100 outstanding displays for the foyer in the ward building. She taught in the Primary, Sunday School and Relief Society, and was a faithful Relief Society Visiting Teacher all of her married life. She served as PTA President of North Park School and Bear River High School where she received the ?Rare Bear? award. She wrote beautiful tributes in rhyme for brides-to-be, baptisms, birthdays, and anniversaries. She made awesome padded scrapbooks and tatted flowers for lovely handmade note cards. She excelled in making crafts, enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, and was always giving clever handmade, homemade gifts to friends. She was a good cook and loved to make homemade candy. Her family, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends, and her friends in the ?Dinner Club? meant the world to her. They never left her home empty-handed or without a treat. She lived by the motto, ?Anything worth doing is worth doing well?.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Lloyd Bair, children, Michael Annette Bair, West Point, Utah; Kevin Debborah Bair, North Ogden, Utah; and David Bair, Taylorsville, Utah; twelve grandchildren and their spouses; and twenty great-grandchildren with three more on the way. She is also survived by her brother, Heber Margaret Fackrell, Ogden, Utah; and Nada Ken Williams, Naperville, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Cleo, and brothers, Lloyd, Ray, Lynn, Billy and Jimmy. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Tremonton Utah Stake Center located at 660 North 300 East, Tremonton, Utah with Bishop Jeff Reese officiating. A viewing will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. ? 8:00 p.m. at the Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, and Wednesday, August 15, 2007 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. at the Tremonton Utah Stake Center. Interment will be at the Richmond City Cemetery in Richmond, Utah.
