March 31, 1908 — May 13, 2002

Logan ? Arvella Eddins Hawkins, born March 31, 1908, left this mortal existence after 94 years on May 13, 2002. She was born in Thayne, Wyoming, the 9th of 10 children born to Albert and Clara Jane Gilby Eddins. She married Leland James Hawkins June 9, 1927 in Paris, Idaho. The marriage was later sealed in the Logan Temple. Lee and Arvella owned and operated a cheese factory in Laketown, Utah for over 20 years. Arvella was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She served faithfully in Relief Society, Primary and MIA organizations of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved horses, cats, birds, the autumn season and pretty dishes ? but above all, she loved and served her family. She leaves a legacy of warmth and comfort in the dozens of afghans she knitted for friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by parents, brothers and sisters and her eternal companion, Lee, October 5, 1981. She is survived by two sons, Darell Susan Hawkins and Spencer Jean Hawkins, both of Salt Lake City and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
