Arthur George Price, 87 passed away at the Logan Regional Hospital on Friday, February 27th, 2004 as a result of an injury. Arthur was born in England on August 14, 1916, and traveled to the United States by ship with his family at the age of five. They settled in Cornish, Utah and there Arthur was raised and went to school. He spent 12 years serving in the United States Army during World War II. Following his honorable discharge he returned to live in Cornish with his family. He worked in the Maintenance Department for the Union Pacific Railroad for 30 years. In his younger years he enjoyed golfing, swimming, bowling, playing horseshoes, and ice skating. In 1972 he moved to Logan and has resided at his current address for the past 27 years. Never having obtained a driver?s license, he maintained good physical condition through his many miles of walking. After his retirement he volunteered at the Logan LDS Temple as an ordinance worker and security guard for many years. Arthur loved Christmas and taking pictures, but most of all he enjoyed time spent with his extended family whatever the occasion. Arthur valued patriotism, and carried the United States flag in many parades. Uncle Arthur had a contagious smile, a kind heart, and was grateful for even the smallest acts of service bestowed upon him. Arthur was preceded in death by a baby sister Gladys Maude Price, Beatrice Price Taylor sister, LaVerna Price sister, and his mother and father Ethel May Richards and Arthur Price. Arthur is survived by his brother Wayne Price Elaine of Brigham City, five nephews and two nieces, and many great-nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 1st at 11:00 a.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, in Logan. A viewing will be held from 9:30 ? 10:30 a.m. prior to funeral services. Interment will follow at the Lewiston City Cemetery.
