Arthur Cervantez

Tremonton ? Loving husband, father, son, uncle, brother and brother-in-law, Arthur Cervantez, 43, of Tremonton, died Saturday, January 25, 2003, peacefully after a brave and valiant battle with cancer. Arthur was born on September 11, 1959, in Leoti, Kansas, the son of Augustine and Rufina Berber Cervantez. He married Dianna Mae ?D.D.? Roche on December 16, 1983 in Thatcher, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple on May 21, 1986. Art grew up in the Snowville and Tremonton area. He graduated from Bear River High School in 1978. Attended two and a half years at Utah State University. Some of his greatest accomplishments were the 22 years he served in the U.S. Army Reserves, Rank SSG.. He worked at ATK Thiokol for 20 years as a Manufacturing Specialist. Art loved his family very deeply. He enjoyed the outdoors, sports, reading books, life and all his friends and family. He always had a friendly hello and concern for everyone. He was a hard worker and always did his very best in everything he did. He will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his loving wife, D.D. Cervantez of Tremonton; two sons, Colton Arthur and Dustin Kade both of Tremonton; mother, Rufina Cervantez of Tremonton; brothers, Ben Cervantez and Danny Lori Cervantez, both of Tremonton, and Raul Maria Cervantez of El Paso, TX; sisters ? Tina Anthony Sisneros, and Teresa Cervantez all of Amarillo, TX, and Mary Cervantez of Ogden, father and mother-in-law, Milton and Carolyn Roche of Thatcher; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Bryon Bea, Johnny Sheila, Julie Val Stokes, Bob Becky, Mary Sheldon Leavitt, Shirley Al Soifua, Tresa Shawn Miller, Heidi Duane Butler. His father, and baby sister, who he is once again reunited with, after being apart since Art was three years old, preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2003 at the South Tremonton LDS Stake Center, 1150 South Tremont Street. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 29, from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, and Thursday from 9:30 ? 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Bothwell Valley View Cemetery.
