LOGAN ? Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother Ardyth Weber Rasmussen returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 7, 2002 at the age of 76 after a courageous fight following heart surgery at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born May 26, 1926 in Freedom, Wyoming, the fourth child of Charles Samuel and Johanna Bollig Weber. Ardyth graduated from Star Valley High School, Utah State University, and Logan LDS Institute. On September 23, 1960 she married Arlo M. Rasmussen in the Logan LDS Temple. They were blessed with seven children who were raised and taught the true value of work. The family all enjoyed working together on the family ranch. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She was the greatest cheerleader in their lives including sporting and other events. Ardyth was an exceptional motivator to encourage all her family to keep a personal history and do family history and temple work. She saw to it that all her grandchildren received a set of personalized scriptures when they were baptized. She had a strong testimony and liked to bear it. She served an honorable mission to the Texas-Louisiana mission from 1946 ? 1948. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she enjoyed serving in many positions throughout her life. She worked as a school teacher and school secretary in Wyoming, Washington, Utah, and Idaho. Her warm and beautiful smile, her loving and generous service, her sweet and cheerful voice, and her devotion to family, immediate and extended, will always be remembered. Her family knows she is well and happy as she continues doing what she has always done ? loving and serving others. Ardyth is reunited with her parents, Charles Samuel and Johanna Bollig Weber; sisters, Elvera Penrose, Elaine Blakeley, and brother Herbert Weber who all preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of nearly 42 years, Arlo M. Rasmussen of Logan, Utah, seven children Jennie Larry Hale of Taylorsville, Utah, Charles DeAnn Rasmussen, Preston, Idaho, Sherylee Charles Frandsen, Medford, Oregon, Juliann Willis Seyfried, Logan, Utah, Myrnalyn Cody Lutz of Garden City, Ut, Gregg Julie Rasmussen of Layton, Ut, Francene Cameron Jensen, Logan, Utah; 14 grandchildren, and one sister Myrna Bradley of Centerville, Utah. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the caregivers of Logan Regional Hospital and the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City for the kindness and knowledge shown to Ardyth and her family. The family is so appreciative of the many friends who have cared for and blessed us all during her illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 12, 2002 at 12 noon in the St. Charles Ward Chapel, St. Charles, Idaho. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and Thursday at the church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the St. Charles, Idaho Cemetery.
