Ardell Kunz Kofoed

Logan - Ardell Kunz Kofoed, died March 4, 2002 at the home of her daughter in Hyrum. Ardell was born September 29, 1915 in Bern, Idaho to Matilda Esther Kunz and Henry Daniel Kunz. She graduated from Montpelier High School and attended Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, Utah, graduating with a BS Degree. She married LeVor H. Kofoed on September 10, 1937, the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. LeVor died April 8, 1984. Ardell was a member of the LDS Church and worked in various positions in Sunday School, Primary and Relief Society. She also worked in the baptismal area of the Logan Temple. Her husband was a contractor and, for years, she kept books for his business and later worked in the Cache County Clerk?s Office. She was a member of the Hyrum 4th Ward at the time of her death. She is survived by 5 daughters: Karen Marvin McQueary, Carson, Nevada; Rene Jerry Downs, North Logan; Marlene Henry Cruz, Jackson, Mississippi; Linda Roskelley, Logan; Cynthia Darrell James, Hyrum; 12 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters: Maxine Blaser of Mesa, Arizona and Louise Schwartz of St. George. A son, Stanley L. Kofoed, her parents and two brothers, Walter H. Kunz and Cecil W. Kunz preceded her in death. Family will meet friends and relatives for a visit and viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with a graveside service following at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan.
