Annette Christina Sims

Christie Sims passed away April 30, 2007 in Mesa, AZ at the age of 65.
She was born December 18, 1941 to Hal and Venna Pitcher in Logan, Utah, the oldest of five daughters.
Christie was raised in Salt Lake City and graduated from high school in California. She attended Brigham Young University where she met her husband Bruce Sims. They were married January 25, 1963 in Logan, Utah. Together they raised two daughters, Tere Richard Gray and Kristen David Sampson. Christie has lived and worked as a dental office manager in Irvine, CA, Danville, CA and most recently in Mesa, AZ. Christie played the piano and organ beautifully. She touched the hearts of many with her music. She is survived by her husband, daughters, 9 grandchildren, 3 sisters, Nancy Linschoten, Venna McKee and Susan Howard; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and sister, Janae Gabrielli
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 7th, 10:30 a.m. at the Greenfield Ward, Mountain View Stake Center, 1550 N. Val Vista Drive, Mesa, AZ, where a viewing will be held one hour prior to service. In addition, a graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 9th, 10:30 a.m. at the Smithfield Cemetery, Smithfield, Utah.
