Plymouth, Utah - Alissa LaVell Steed Rudd, 89, returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father's arms November 15, 2003. Born October 9, 1914 to James William and Annie Rose Steed in Plymouth, Utah. She never had a desire to leave Plymouth. She married Rulon J. Rudd, December 21, 1931. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple, April 24, 1940. LaVell enjoyed being outdoors. Her gardens and yards were her pride and joy. LaVell was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. She and Rulon served in the Logan Temple for ten years. They loved the people they worked with and spoke of them often. Surviving are her daughters, Doris Deen Rudd, Plymouth, Utah, Rae Ola Deakin, Torrey, Utah and son Derrell S. Rudd, Janice, Salem, Utah, 15 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and nine great, great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters Zina Jensen Call, Janet Alice Stoddard Anderson, Flora Latimore, all of Pocatello, Idaho, Cleone Peterson, Penrose, Utah, and brother Ursel Steed, Downy, Idaho. Preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Gordon J. Rudd and Jeffery Rudd, one grandson, Jodi Deakin, and one great granddaughter, Amanda Chambline Rudd, two brothers, Edward James Steed and Carl J. Steed, and one sister, Beth Peterson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 20, 2003 at 12:00 noon at the Belmont 1st Ward Chapel located at 16925 North 5200 West, Riverside. Friends and family may visit from 10:00-11:45 a.m. before the funeral at the church. Interment will be at the Plymouth Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at
