Alice Ann Mortensen Brown

June 15, 1949 — November 12, 2007

Garland, Utah ? Alice Ann Mortensen Brown, 58, returned to her loving Heavenly Father Monday, November 12, 2007 at McKay-Dee Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones due to an undiagnosed intestinal complication following surgery. She lived a long productive and righteous life of service to her family, church and community. She always shared her testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with her family and friends. She leaves a rich heritage of faith, devotion and charity to all her posterity. She was born June 15, 1949 to Samuel Foy Mortensen and Phyllis Leora Jordan Parker in Brigham City, Utah. She married Larry LeRoy Forsgren January 19, 1968 in Bothwell, Utah. They were later divorced. She then married Alan Ralph Muir June 27, 1986 in Willard, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple June 27, 1987. He passed away September 7, 1994. She then married Dee C. Brown March 16, 1995 in Willard, Utah.
Alice was totally devoted to her family, friends and her religion. She adored and loved her grandchildren; they were the light of her life. She was always giving of her time and love to all she came in contact with and will be remembered for her love of roses and other beautiful flowers and love of cats.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many auxiliaries, most recently as Young Women President and Relief Society President.
She is survived by her husband, Dee; her children: Jeffery Verna Sue L. Forsgren, Denver, CO, LeAnna Chad F. Barlow, Lewiston, UT, Jason A. Forsgren, Hyrum, UT and Amy Shawn Dawn Healey, San Diego, CA; Step-children: Randy Tricia Brown, Julie Matt Leader, Kevin Sherrie Brown, Lisa Jeff Anderson, Chris Sherlene Brown, Brett Manal Muir, Kelly Rory Lunceford, and Christy Muir; 30 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are her two brothers: Doug Mortensen and Kevin Laurie Mortensen, one sister: Jana Shawn Jensen and step-father, Alfred Parker, Willard, UT.
She is preceded in death by one husband, her parents and step-father, Harold E. Petersen.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garland LDS Tabernacle, 140 West Factory, Garland. Family and friends may call Friday, November 16, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Saturday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment at Woodruff Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank McKay-Dee?s doctors and staff.
