Aletha Polson Karnely

January 27, 1921 — July 30, 2004

Tremonton- Aletha Polson Karnely returned to her Heavenly Father, Friday, July 30th, 2004 surrounded by her family.
She was born January 22, 1921 in Brigham City, Utah to Albert F. and Lillie Polson.
Aletha graduated from Box Elder High School in 1939. She married Frank Karnely on August 28, 1941. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. Aletha and Frank enjoyed 63 wonderful years together. They both were more concerned for the other's well-being than their own. They enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with their close friends.
Her greatest joys in life were the relationships with each of her family members. She loved having large family dinners. Aletha enjoyed having her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in her home and was interested in all aspects of their lives. She was active in the LDS church, serving in various callings including Relief Society President, Young Women's President, and on the Stake Relief Society Board. She always had a very positive outlook on life and had faith that everything would work out in the end. This faith was based in a strong testimony of prayer and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Aletha is survived by her husband, her daughter Kathy Martin Raish of Rigby, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one sister, Florence Clint Anderson of Phoenix, Arizona and one brother, Ivan Sena Polson of Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Steve Jensen, five brothers and three sisters. Friends and family may call Monday, August2nd from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East and Tuesday, August 3rd from 9:30-10:30 at the Church.
