Alda Larson Brown passed away in St. George, Utah on April 10, 2003. She was the daughter of Carl August Carlson Larson and Helena Ljungman Larson, born in Richmond, Utah on January 9, 1913. She lived most of her entire life in Richmond. She graduated from North Cache High and LDS Business College. She married Mark C. Fullmer Brown on July 7, 1933. The Brown?s home in Richmond was one of love for family, coziness and comfort to all visited. Mark and Alda loved the little town of Richmond and their friends and neighbors there. They were active members of the Richmond LDS 1st Ward. Alda was a gifted poet and had many published poems. She received numerous awards for her beautiful poetry. Her poetry ranged from beautiful nature to humorous. Alda is survived by her children: Sally M.Glen Dixon, St. George, Utah; Kimber M. Brown, Richmond, Utah; a sister, Juness Christensen, Logan, Utah and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark C. Brown and a son, Bruce A. Brown. Also by her siblings: Mona Ensign; Sterling Larson; Victor Carlson; Carl Carlson and Christine Burt. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan with a viewing from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Richmond City Cemetery. Thanks to all who helped care for Alda, especially to the staff of Kolob Care Center in St. George, Utah, who showed her love and compassion.
