Alabe Garza, Sr., 65, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather has returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 9, 2005 after a valiant battle of illness.
He was born June 17, 1940 in Kennedy, Texas to Santiago and Celestina Garza. He was the twelth of twelve children. He met and fell in love with his sweetheart, Olivia Cerda and they married on June 7, 1958.
Alabe worked in farming, oil refinery, truck driving and at La-Z-Boy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gambling and being with family. He was a member of the Santa Ana Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Olivia, children: Santiago "Jim" Jackie Garza, Alabe Jr. Sandra Garza, Mary Noemi Garza, Priscilla Chad Roberts. He has 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Four sisters: Elva Gonzalez, Lovington, NM, Nellie Luna, West Palm Beach, FL, Chita Banda, O'Donnell, TX, Carmen Rodriguez, Danville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: DoMingo Castaneda, Juan Medina, Benito Garza, Jose Castaneda; three sisters: Maria Gomez, Ofelia Salas, Lile Gamez.

A rosary service will be held at Santa Ana Catholic Church, 760 West 600 North, Tremonton, on Thursday, October 13, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Santa Ana Catholic Church, 760 West 600 North, Tremonton on Friday, October 14, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
