Adola Barkle of Providence, Utah departed this life Friday, June 15, 2007. She was born December 25, 1920 in Providence to Newel and Retta Mathews, the fifth of six children. Adola will be remembered by her many special friends for her abundant gardens and her pursuit of yoga and meditation. She was an excellent seamstress and loved quilting. Adola is survived by her children: Susan B. Sid Smith of Millville; Fred Brenda Barkle; Clancey Debi Barkle of Logan; Doyle Carolyn Jones of Young Ward; and Marvin Bradshaw of Salt Lake City; her sister, Wanda Scholes of Salt Lake City; two daughters-in-law, Herta Bradshaw and Chrissie Barkle, both of Providence; 32 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Zona McBride, and brothers: William Mathews, Myrl Mathews, and Caulder Tom Mathews; husband, Keith Barkle; and son, Paul Bradshaw. In keeping with the desires of the decedent, graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2007 at the Providence City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at
