Tremonton ? Ada May Ospital, 93, died Saturday, August 26, 2006. She was born November 23, 1912 in Clear Creek, Utah to Charles Levi and Jane Badger Kempton. She was the youngest of 11 children. She married Glen Worley Jones, on February 14, 1931. Together they had three children, LaNeva Jean, Ronald Glen, Glenada Dee, and later divorced. On August 13, 1947 she married her life long companion Sam Ospital.
Ada was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, playing the organ, sewing, and spending time with family and friends. Granny was never seen with a piece of sheet music in front of her as she played everything by ear. In her early days she was an avid pie maker and spent many years cooking for the Clear Creek school and café in Strevell. Upon marrying Sam she became a homemaker and worked by his side farming and raising cattle until they ?retired? in 2000. They received awards for being conservationists of the year.
Ada is survived by her loving husband, Sam; daughter, LaNeva Dick Ostberg; son, Ronald Jones; step-son, John Anne Tomkins; step-daughter, Maureen John Seal. Grandchildren: Mike Linda Ostberg, Pat Bobbie Ostberg, Suzan Ostberg, Dixie Phil Holmes, Eddie Teri Lynn Jones, Mark Jones, Jeff Syliva Jones, Rex Iverson, Joni Iverson, Sarah Tomkins, and Caroline Graham Ellis. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.
Ada was preceded in death by her parents, all siblings, and daughter and son-in-law, Glenada and Carter Iverson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 1, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Malta, Idaho LDS Church, Church Street and 4th, Malta, Idaho. A viewing will be held Thursday, August 31, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, Utah and from 9:30-10:40 a.m. prior to services in Malta. Interment will be in the Clear Creek Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Bear River Valley Care Center for their support and care of Ada since March.
