Beverly Bracken Dobson

Beverly Bracken Dobson, 85, died Saturday, September 30, 2006, in Logan Utah. She was the widow of Jay LeRoy Dobson and the mother of 4 daughters; Celia Trujillo Logan, UT, Laura Daines Centerville, UT, Patricia Fenner Portland, OR, Beth Quist Pleasant Hill, CA. She also considered Margaret Olsen Wellsville, UT as a daughter. She has 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Beverly was born Feb 16, 1921 in Ophir, Utah, to Charles and Laura Ester Evans Bracken. She was raised in Tooele, UT, but spent most of her married life in Centerville, UT, then retired with her husband to Wellsville, UT. Beverly was best known for being an artist, specializing in oil painting where she captured the landscapes and farmlands of northern Utah. She loved to read and recite poetry but was also a great fan of the TV game show Jeopardy. She had been active in the LDS Church all of her life.
Her family would like to thank Celia, along with her friends and neighbors, ward members, caretakers at Legacy House, and Elodine, for assisting with her care, running her errands, taking her to the doctor, caring for her farm and her yard, shoveling her snow, picking up her mail, fixing her remote and satellite TV, and most of all, just being her friend. Graveside services will be held Wednesday October 4, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the Tooele City Cemetery. Friends may call at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
