The following list has been prepared to outline why we believe that Nelson and Rogers & Taylor Funeral Homes offer the finest funeral service value in Northern Utah:

  • Exceptional Personal Service--We are committed to serve you and your family with dignity and respect. Our funeral home organization is small so we can pay personal attention to individual needs and wishes as well as to the details that often get lost in the shuffle of a larger operation.

  • Unsurpassed Quality Workmanship--We pride ourselves in our technical and professional abilities particularly in difficult circumstances. Families and friends often remind us that these skills have been a source of great comfort to them.

  • Beautifully Decorated Facilities--The beautiful decor in each location provides an elegant, yet peaceful atmosphere in which to have a viewing or funeral. Our in-home chapel in Logan comfortably seats over 200 with an over-flow capacity of an additional 100. Our Smithfield location can comfortably accomodate funerals with less than 100 participants. In Tremonton, we can seat approximately 175.

  • Conveniently Located Facilities--Our funeral homes are centrally located and easily accessed in Logan, Smithfield and Tremonton. Our Logan mortuary is located at 162 East 400 North (across from Smith's Food King), our Smithfield location is at 85 South Main Street (directly North of Arctic Circle), and in Tremonton, we are located at 111 North 100 East. All of our facilities are handicap accessible and have sufficient lighted parking.

  • Personalized Visits With Young Children--Often times, parents or grandparents are hesitant to explain to their young children about the death of a loved one. We help with this difficult situation by providing a forum for parents and children to discuss death before the viewing and funeral. We talk with the children about death and explain what happens during the funeral and viewing process. Many people tell us these personalized visits are the most important thing we do.

  • Personalized Aftercare Services--We understand that the most difficult time after the death of someone we love often comes after the funeral services are over. Unfortunately, that is where most funeral homes discontinue their relationship with families. We continue to care for family members during the difficult time of transition by making personal visits and providing resource materials for at least one year following the funeral.

  • Professional Preneed Counseling--Our preneed funeral counselors are trained to focus on the needs of the individuals they are serving without pressure or hype. Pre-arranged funeral planning includes the selection of services and goods long before the death occurs so loved ones will not have to make these difficult decisions alone. Nelson Funeral Home uses the recognized leader in pre-planning, Forethought Funeral Plans, to fund pre-arranged funerals.

  • Commitment to Northern Utah--Our local roots run deep. We are committed to preserving our wonderful quality of life and being a responsible citizen. Our commitment to the communities we serve is evidenced through our voluntary involvement with the Kiwanis Club, Utah State University, Cache Chamber of Commerce, Bear River Valley Chamber of Commerce, Greater Smithfield Chamber of Commerce, Lions International, Rotary Club of Logan, Boys Scouts of America, Bear River Valley Hospital and Logan Regional Hospital. In addition, we contribute to many local charities and events.
